Overview

The InstaBrain IG Cookie Connector Chrome extension helps you connect your Instagram session to your InstaBrain account so InstaBrain can process Instagram Reels that require a logged-in session. The extension does not collect passwords.

Data Collection & Use

The extension only accesses your Instagram session cookies (for example sessionid and ds_user_id) after you click the extension’s “Fetch & Send” button (or related check buttons inside the extension popup). The extension does not access Instagram cookies at any other time.

The sole purpose of accessing and sending these cookies is to connect your Instagram session to your InstaBrain account so InstaBrain can perform the user-requested functionality (processing Reels that require login). We do not use this data for advertising, analytics, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.

No Background Monitoring

The extension does not monitor your browsing or Instagram activity in the background. It does not continuously observe cookies or collect data when you are not actively using the extension. Instagram cookies are read only when you explicitly initiate the action in the extension popup.

Where Data Is Sent

When you click “Fetch & Send”, the extension transmits the cookie data over HTTPS to InstaBrain endpoints under https://instabrain.app/api/* (for example, to request a one-time token and upload the cookie payload). This data is sent only to InstaBrain and is not sent to third parties.

Data Storage & Sharing

The extension does not store cookies locally (no extension local storage is used for cookie retention). After upload, InstaBrain may store the cookie payload on InstaBrain’s servers so the feature can work across requests (for example, to process private Reels that require login). Stored cookie data is associated with your InstaBrain account and is used only to provide this feature.

InstaBrain does not sell, rent, or share your session cookie data with third parties. We do not use the cookie data for any purpose other than enabling the requested InstaBrain functionality. You can revoke/delete your stored cookies from the app at any time; uninstalling the extension also stops any future access by the extension.

Host Permissions & Security

• instagram.com — the extension requests access to Instagram domains only to read Instagram session cookies when you click the connect/send buttons.
• instabrain.app — the extension communicates with InstaBrain API endpoints under /api/* to connect your session.
• All data transfer occurs over HTTPS.
• The extension does not collect passwords.

No Remote Code Execution

The extension does not execute any code from remote sources. All extension logic is packaged with the extension. The network connection to InstaBrain is used only to send your request data and receive responses, not to download or run new code inside your browser.

Compliance (Limited Use)

InstaBrain IG Cookie Connector follows Chrome Web Store user data policies, including Limited Use principles. We request only the permissions needed for the extension’s core function and use accessed data only to provide the feature you initiated.

Your controls

• You can revoke/delete stored cookies in InstaBrain at any time.
• You can log out of Instagram to invalidate the session.
• You can uninstall the extension at any time.
